I am tired of proving myself again and again and again

I am tired of proving myself again and again and again

I am tired of going above and beyond and getting the best on the table
But who’s table is it anyway?

Do I receive an applause or appreciation for being so hardworking?

Am I acknowledged for being a quick learner?

Just because I didn’t attend an International school (with all due respect)doesn’t mean I am any less;
I topped every class of mine

Just because I didn’t attend any fancy institution (again with all due respect)
I still managed the best CGPA in my class

Just because I didn’t start with a hefty fancy package does not mean, that I don’t deserve one

It feels like being the middle class (with all the respect cause that’s what I am) of the corporate world

We hustle every second of our lives
We work too damn hard

That’s all I ever knew, hardwork and never hesitated from it all these years of my life

But today, I’m tired of proving myself again and again and over again
