Problem Solving and me ..!!!
In all the offices I’ve worked apart from my actual job;
People would also come to me with their problems
I think most viewed me as the ultimate problem solver, when I’m just an ordinary girl
So in typical definition, I would counsel some, mentor some, sometimes people would come to me saying .. “you know a lot of people, would you know who can help me with xyz”
Even smuggling sanitary napkins for my girlies in need( yep, done that too) and many more
It’s like I’m a living breathing NGO, just helping everyone but I feel content doing so
These qualities make sense in real world
But for the past two months, I’m not sure how
People on LinkedIn connect with me
- Ask if I would know of a job
- Help them with their resume
3. Answer technical queries, if they don’t understand certain concepts
4. But most importantly, I have people coming to me asking if I can help them with:
-Someone to create their app
-Someone to build a product from scratch and maintain it too
And I actually try my best to help them all
At first, I was helping like I normally do
And one fine day, while helping a gentleman I asked him, “Sir, what perception do you have of me? how did you know I can connect you with right people?”
And he said, “I know you can”
I laughed, as at that time, to me, it felt like operating a professional cartel, free of cost
But I’m actually grateful, very very grateful that people can ask me for help
And I hope I’m able to do my bit well 🙏🏻
